Community appeal for renovating our abandoned local landmark to its former glory and beyond.

On behalf of the community, and after 18 months of perseverance, negotiation and knockbacks, Amy, Ziggy & Nigel have secured the chance to restore the Black Horse to its rightful place at the Heart of Torrington for the next 10 years or more.

The community urgently needs your skills and generosity to complete the initial building works and reopen the doors for Torrington's iconic Mayfair celebrations - followed by a series of ongoing improvements to open up more of this historic building for locals and visitors to enjoy. 

We are signing a 10 year repair and insuring lease, which is the common place lease - 99% of leases are like this now

We're not just asking for your sponsorship: we also value your time, skills and expertise, 

and don’t forget, that every wall painted / bathroom fitted will dramatically reduce the costs of the building work needed to open for Mayfair, and re-establish the town’s living room.
